The crisis continues and hands on the ground are still needed. We are lucky to have established a fairly long-term core team over the past year – of volunteers who have come and then fought to stay out here because they believe this is where they should be right now – but we do still have turnover and still look to take on new people.
Work with our project involve long hours and can be intense and stressful and extremely difficult, but it is also full of laughter and sharing and learning. Our team consists of people from all walks of life who have stepped up to help out. Teachers, students, engineers, artists, builders, IT technicians, electricians, musicians.
Here are our minimum requirements for volunteering with We Are Here
– be over 18 years of age
– have at least 30 days to give to our project on the ground
– be in good physical, mental and emotional health to better serve the residents of the camp
– able to obtain a DBS / police check before they arrive
– have a good awareness of the humanitarian situation in Greece
Fill out an application and we will contact you shortly. And if we are not in need at this time, we may be able to point you in the direction of other groups who are.
