The Nea Kavala camp is located near Polykastro, a small city 20 km away from the Macedonian border. Thessaloniki airport isthe closest international airport.


From Thessaloniki airport to the Macedonian Intercity bus station (KTEL)

Bus 78 and 78N run between the airport and the Intercity bus station 24/7. A bus departs every 20 minutes between 5:00 and 22:00, and every 60 minutes at night (78N). The ticket costs 2,00€ and can be purchased from a ticket machine inside the bus. Keep in mind that the machine does not return spare change. You can also get off in the city centre if you are looking for a hostel to spend the night. From the center, there are many other bus lines which go to the Intercity bus station (8,31..).

From KTEL to Polykastro

You can find timetable and price informations on the ktel website. A bus departs every hour between 6am and 9pm, and the journey is about 1 hour. A ticket will cost you 6,00€
